01.06.2020 Political repression - the tragic pages of the country`s history
On May 31, 2020, at the https://meet.google.com/jtw-jare-pfk, the Department of Kazakh Language and Literature named after Academician S. Kirabayev of the Institute of Philology and Multilingual Education held an online webinar «Unforgettable Fates» dedicated to the Memorial Day for the victims of political repression.
The participants of the event paid a minute of silence to the memory of the victims of political repressions, read the poem of the poet Galym Zhaylybay «Karaganda camp». Associate Professor of the Department of History of Kazakhstan named after Academician T.S. Sadykov of the Institute of History and Law Tleubaev Shamek told about the meaning of the decree, about the announcement of May 31 as the Day of memory of the victims of political repression, about the victims of famine of 30s, December events of 1986, about 11 camps of state administration: Alzhir, Karlag, Dalny, Steplag, Peschan, Kamyslag, Aktobe, Zhezkazgan, Petropavlovsk, Kengir, Ust-Kamenogorsk, acting in Kazakhstan and about the fates of thousands of innocent victims.
The guests were especially interested in the idea of the project «Documents of investigation of M.Zhumabaev`s «case» in the archives». Organizer - teacher E. Moldasanov.
