International Ecological Summer School
The international summer school «Ecologization of educational institutions», organized by the Department of Social Pedagogy and Self-knowledge, ended at L.N.Gumilyov ENU. The summer school was held online during three weeks. The participants were more than 30 expert speakers, well-known and young scientists, teachers, students, schoolchildren and environmental volunteers from Kazakhstan, Russia, England, Slovakia, Moldova, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Georgia and Tajikistan (150 students from different countries).
Actual issues of the development of «green» universities, didactics of environmental education, environmental psychology, continuity of environmental education «kindergarten-school-college-university», environmental volunteering in schools and universities were raised.
Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences of L.N.Gumilyov ENU Bayzhuman Kashkhynbay thanked all participants of an interesting and informative event for their activity and expressed hope for fruitful cooperation in the future.
The international summer school was held as part of the scientific project «Ecologization of the university`s educational system as an innovative approach to the modernization of the spiritual consciousness of students» (supervised by Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor Dlimbetova Gaini Karekeevna).
Co-executor of the project and speaker of the summer school from Abai KazNPU professor of the Department of Geography, Ecology and Tourism of the Institute of Natural Sciences and Geography Kulzhakhan Bakirova. In her report, she spoke about the priorities of higher education and encouraged young people to study at the country`s first university - Abai KazNPU, which takes first place in the ranking of teacher training universities, which allows setting and solving the most important tasks in training highly qualified specialists.
K.Sh. Bakirova`s report emphasized the enormous work carried out by the teachers of IGNS in the environmentalization of natural sciences in the context of sustainable development.
