The Abai KazNPU received the international certificate "Higher education institution without corruption"

Since Takir Balykbayev was appointed to the post of Rector of Abai KazNPU, the university has been working to prevent corruption. The main goal of the Rector is to completely remove the term "corruption" from our language resource in the future, so that new generations do not know the word and create a society without corruption. This is why he organised many talks and lectures for teaching staff and university students on the interpretation of laws and regulations on corruption, its harm to personal honour and dignity, for society as a whole, and the moral benefits of living honestly.

The opening of the Parasat Centre at the University contributes to further strengthening anti-corruption activities. A great deal of work has been done in this area in a short period of time under the leadership of the Centre`s Director Kambar Usipov.

Approximately 50 teachers and staff of the university, who were trained in accordance with the requirements of the international standard ISO 37001: 2016 under the program "Anti-Corruption Management System" of the consulting company "ISO Implementation Agency", received special certificates and today contribute to the creation of a platform free from corruption. From the very beginning of its existence, Parasat Centre has actively participated in the development and implementation of the anti-corruption management system in accordance with ISO-37001-2016. At the initiative of the Centre, the university developed and approved an anti-corruption policy. The Declaration on Conflict of Interest and Compliance with Anti-Corruption Policy and other documents were adopted.

Based on these documents, the teaching staff and all university employees signed the Declaration, the Supplementary Agreement to the Employment Contract and job descriptions, and all students signed an anti-corruption memo to the educational services contract. These documents define the responsibilities, duties and rights of all employees and employers in order to prevent corruption risks (threats).

As a result, the international company Eurosert (Belgrade) conducted a certification audit and decided to issue a certificate of compliance of the anti-corruption management system of the Abai KazNPU with the requirements of ISO 37001-2016.

Recently, a ceremony of awarding this certificate was held at the university. The event was attended by EVROSERT expert auditor Vladimir Soloviev and chief consultant of "ISO Implementation Agency" LLP Anatoly Banduro. Opening the ceremony, Rector Takir Balykbayev spoke about anti-corruption measures taken at the university. The expert auditor of EUROCERT Vladimir Soloviev noted that Abai KazNPU conducted anti-corruption activities at a high level, successfully passed an international audit and became the first university in Kazakhstan, which received a certificate of compliance with the requirements of the system of anti-corruption management MS ISO 37001-2016. He presented the rector of the university with an international certificate.
