University-wide volleyball competition

In accordance with the Comprehensive Plan of the University for the 2020-2021 academic year, a volleyball competition was held on 7 November 2020 at the M.Auezov Sports Complex among the university teaching staff and employees.

The sport event was opened by the Vice-Rector for Educational Work and Social Development Zhanatbek Ishpekbayev, and he wished the teams good luck. Yergali Mukhiddinov, Head of the Department of Physical Education and Sports of the Institute of Art, Culture and Sports, familiarised the participants with the rules of the competition. The competition was attended by teams from the institutes, each of which has six members.

Following the results of the competition, the team of the Institute of Arts, Culture and Sports took 1st place in the team classification, the team of the Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology took 2nd place, and the team of the Institute of Philology and multilingual Education won 3rd place. Aliaskarov Duman, a lecturer at the Institute of Natural sciences and Geography, was awarded the title of «Best Player».

The competition was held in compliance with all sanitary and epidemiological norms. During the event, medical officers were on duty.

Games in team sports will be held every Saturday.
