14.12.2020 Anna Akhmatova`s poetry fans met from different countries in the literary room
Those present were greeted by Olga Mosheeva, chief specialist-expert of the Consulate General of Russia in Almaty.
The head of the department Saule Abisheva in her speech about Akhmatova managed to combine the position of a literary scholar and a grateful admirer of Akhmatova`s poetry. The pages of the electronic textbook «Russian Literature» of the publishing house «Almatykitap Baspasy» dedicated to the poet became an illustration of her performance.
Maria Myasnikova gave the participants a tour of the A. Akhmatova Museum. The Palace of the Sheremetev Counts in St. Petersburg, called the Fountain House; his wing where Akhmatova once lived; rooms with their spartan furnishings - all this passed before our eyes. The deep and emotional commentary by a museum researcher made the story unforgettable.
We met with the youngest participants in the evening when we saw schoolchildren gathered in the library of the Moscow region city of Domodedovo. Yulia Petrova, the leading librarian, spoke about the last days of Anna Akhmatova, spent in a sanatorium in Domodedovo.
High school students of Lyceum № 165 prepared a small literary composition. In reading the poems of A. Akhmatova, they tried to convey their love for the poet.
Our Russian and Polish colleagues, students, undergraduates and doctoral students from different cities of Kazakhstan were in the literary living room. The online format of the evening, which made it possible to overcome distances and meet poetry lovers from different countries, did not interfere with the intimate atmosphere and spontaneity of communication.
