Seminar «Modern research in teaching secularism and the foundations of religious studies»

On April 1, 2021, the Department of World History of the Institute of History and Law held a seminar «Modern research in teaching secularism and the foundations of religious studies» for teachers of the Ili region.

Moderator - teacher Ruslan Seitkaziyev made a welcoming speech at the opening of the event and wished good luck to the participants. Zhanabay Sagynysh, Deputy Director of the Center for Research of Problems in the Sphere of Religion of the Almaty Region, spoke about the «Religious situation in the Almaty region and the ongoing work in the sphere of religion». Professor of the Department of Political Science and Socio-Philosophical Disciplines, Institute of History and Law, Doctor of Historical Sciences Izbairov Asylbek gave information on the topic «Religion and religious studies in the context of the growing problem of religious extremism». Teacher of the Department of World History, Master Didar Mamyrbaev expressed his opinion on the topic «The subject of secularism and the foundations of religious studies forms a national ideology».

Ruslan Seitkaziev summed up the results of the entire seminar, providing information on the topic «Methods and new research in teaching the subject of secularism and the foundations of religious studies». At the end of the event, the participants received answers to their questions of interest on the topic of the seminar.

At the end of the event, the methodologist of the Ili district educational and methodological center for the development of education Bachenov Oralbek thanked the head and teachers of the Department of World History for organizing this event.
