The problems of bullying and its consequences were discussed at the debate

On August 29, 2021, the online debates «On opposite sides of bullying» within the framework of the International Scientific and Educational Project «Zhana Izdenister» took place at the Abai KazNPU. The event was organized by the scientific and methodological journal «Pedagogy and Psychology», moderator Issaliyeva S.T.

The debates were attended by students of V.I.Panfilov Kazakh-Russian specialized school-lyceum No. 54, specialized lyceum No. 165 (Almaty), teachers of secondary school No. 96 (Almaty) and secondary school No. 15 (Pavlodar), students and doctoral students of the L.N.Gumilyev ENU (Nur-Sultan) and Abai KazNPU (Almaty), representatives of the Republican Scientific and Practical Center for the Mental Health and the Eurasian Innovation University (Pavlodar).

Participants discussed whether children themselves can cope with bullying, and whether adults should intervene in the situation. During the event, issues of psychological pressure on victims of bullying and its consequences for adult life were actively discussed.

Invited expert L.A.Biketova (Republican Scientific and Practical Center for the Mental Health in Pavlodar) summed up the debates. All participants were unanimous: discussion of such issues is necessary, especially on the eve of the new school year.
