Seminar on work in the Scopus database

On the initiative of the Department of Science, on October 30, another training seminar was held on working in the Scopus database on the topic «How to identify a predatory journal». The seminar was prepared by Professor-Researcher L.V. Safronovа. Opening remarks were made by the Director of the Department of Science, U.M. Abdigapbarova.

The seminar touched upon problems with publishing in predatory magazines in our country, gave examples and revealed signs of predatory publications, talked about measures to combat garbage publications in Kazakhstan and in world practice.
