Manash Kozybayev - the founder of the national historical science

On November 16, 2021, a historical and educational lecture «Ulttyk tarikh tamyrshysy» («Leader of National Historical Science»), dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the famous scientist, Honored Scientist of Kazakhstan, Academician Manash Kozybayev, was held at the Center «Uly Dala Tulgalary» of the Abai KazNPU.

The moderator of the event, vice-rector for social development of Abai KazNPU Shyngys Nurlanov.

An exhibition of M. Kozybayev`s books and archival documents from the Archives of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan was organized.

Associate professor Zira Tolenova in her report analyzed the life and scientific heritage of M. Kozybayev. Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan Khankeldy Abzhanov drew attention to the professional and personal qualities of the outstanding scientist. His son, Professor Ilyas Kozybayev dwelt on the issues of studying the role and significance of historical personalities, in his opinion, the historiography of personalistics still lacks a systematic and comprehensive vision of the problem.

Interesting reports were made by the advisor to the rector of the North Kazakhstan University named after M. Kozybayev, professor Akmaral Ibrayeva, head of the acquisition and documentation department of the Archive of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Zhanibek Sailauov and head of the «Uly dala tulgalary» center Gulshat Nurymbetova.
