Meeting on Teacher Training in Science Subjects

On December 24, 2021, at Abai KazNPU held online meeting of the Educational-Methodical Association - Project Management Group in the field of education «Pedagogical Sciences», dedicated to the problems of teacher training in natural sciences. The event was attended by representatives of higher education institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Almaty City Education Department and employers.

The actual problems of planning of the expected results, the core disciplines in the preparation of future teachers of natural sciences, as well as problems and prospects of employment of graduates of pedagogical universities, the relationship of theory and practice in the modernization of education and the recommendation of textbooks and teaching aids to assign the stamp of the Teaching-Methodical Association (TMA) were discussed.

The session was moderated by Darkhan Bilyalov, the Chairman of the Board-Rector of Abai KazNPU, the Chairman of the Educational-Methodical Association - Project Management Group.

The reports were made by the head of the project team for the training of teachers of chemistry, biology and geography, associate professor of Abai KazNPU Sholpan Karbayeva, the head of the project team for the training of teachers of mathematics, physics and informatics, senior lecturer Saltanat Sharmukhanbet, methodologist of scientific methodical and innovative work of the City scientific-methodical centre and innovative technologies in education of Almaty Department of Education Daulet Baisultanov, chemistry teacher of specialized lyceum № 92 named after M. Gandhi, Suntulla Bakhtulla, teacher of specialized secondary school № 92 named after M. Farabayev. The following teachers took part in the discussion: Sunnatulla Kaumbayev, senior teacher of North Kazakhstan University named after M. Kozybayev Konstantin Zhadan, senior teacher of Abai KazNPU Dilara Nurbayeva.

After listening to the presentations and discussing the problems of subject teacher training, the participants of the Educational-Methodical Association - Project Management Group meeting exchanged opinions. As a result, recommendations were made for teacher training in science subjects for universities and schools in Kazakhstan.
