Meeting with the Director of International Educational Projects of Inha University

On 28 January, 2022, an unscheduled meeting was held between the Director of the Institute of Philology and Multilingual Education A.V. Tanzharykova, the head of the Department of Oriental Philology and Translation K.Kh. Abdrakhmanova and the Director for International Educational Projects of Inha University (South Korea) Kim Jung Ho. Organizer - teacher of Korean language Nam N.S.

The meeting discussed issues within the framework of the adopted IFME Strategy 2020-2025 and work on external academic mobility, the possibility of obtaining a two-degree education at Abai KazNPU.

Kim Jun Ho made a presentation of Inha University, which is one of the largest universities in his country and a leader in the export of Korean education abroad, spoke about Agreements for the provision of academic programs in countries such as Uzbekistan, China, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan, Russia, etc.

Abai KazNPU, represented by A.V. Tanzharykova, expressed interest in the development of bilateral relations in terms of teaching Kazakhstani students in the humanities, especially in the Korean language and literature, and the possibility of language practice in Korea. As K.Kh.Abdrakhmanova noted, last year 56 applicants were admitted to the specialty «Korean language» and there is a huge potential for its development at our university.

During the meeting, the parties agreed to continue work to conclude a Memorandum of Cooperation and a meeting in March of this year, when Kim Jun Ho will be back in Kazakhstan.
