Religious extremism and terrorism are a global threat

Abai KazNPU, Institute of Philology and Multilingual Education, Department of Kazakh Language and Literature named after Academician S. Kirabayev held an online webinar on October 25, 2021 on the topic «Prevention of religious extremism and terrorism» with the participation of more than 250 students and advisers.

During the event, reports were made by the head of the Department of Political Science and Socio-Philosophical Disciplines of the Institute of History and Law, Zhomart Simtikov - «Involvement of youth in terrorist organizations», Deputy Director for educational work of the Institute of Philology and Multilingual Education, Yerlan Kasenov - «Fundamentals of Extremism and Terrorism», Head of the Department of Kazakh language and literature named after academician S.S. Kirabayev, Nagima Ilyasova - «Prevention of Religious Extremism and Terrorism», Associate Professor Ersain Moldasanov - «Prohibited Religious Organizations in Kazakhstan». The documentary film «The Trap of Terrorism» was shown. Zh.K. Simtikov answered the questions of the webinar participants.
