On-line webinar «Abai is in my heart»

On February 13, 2020, at the Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology, the Department of Preschool Education and Social Pedagogy together with the kindergarten «Balausa» in Petropavl held an on-line webinar on the topic «Abai is in my heart», dedicated to the 175th anniversary of the great poet and thinker Abai Kunanbayev.

The purpose of the event is to familiarize preschool children with the rich heritage of Abai and take into account that preschool organization is the first stage of education and upbringing.

Ulbosyn Kiyakbaeva, head of the department of «Preschool education and social pedagogy», made a welcoming speech and stopped at contests, olympiads and other events that were held at the university and at the department as part of this anniversary event. During the webinar, an article by President of the country Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev «Abai and Kazakhstan in the 21st century» was discussed. Professor Islamia Khalitova, who has been studying the poetry and philosophical works of Abai for many years and has written a substantial amount of teaching aids, spoke about his life and work.

In conclusion, the first-year students of the specialty «Preschool education and upbringing» sang a song based on Abai`s poems «Zhelsiz tunde zharyk ay» and sent the challenge «I will be like Abai» to the «Balausa» kindergarten team.
