«Abay`s legacy in pedagogy of the XXI century» republican olympiad

On February 27-28, 2020, the Institute of pedagogy and psychology, the Department of preschool education and social pedagogy organized the Republican Olympiad «Abay`s Legacy in pedagogy of the XXI century. The founder of the Republican Olympiad is Abai Kazakh national pedagogical University.

The main goal of the Olympiad is to study Abay`s creativity in depth, identify talented students who have theoretical and practical knowledge about Abay`s pedagogical heritage, and increase students` interest in research work in the field of spiritual and moral education.

12 University teams took part in the Republican Olympiad.

The first Vice-rector of KazNPU made a speech at the opening ceremony of the Olympiad.Abay Maktagali Bektemessov and Vice-rector on educational work Assan Satmyrzaiev. In their speech, they noted that the legacy of Abay is an example for the younger generation and the Republican Olympiad in honor of the great Abay is held for the first time in the framework of the Republic and this is a great achievement for our University.

Director of the Institute of pedagogy and psychology Berikzhan Almukhambetov, lighting the torch of the Olympiad, wished the participants good luck in holding the first Republican Olympiad «Abay`s legacy in pedagogy of the XXI century».

Chairman of the jury is a Chief researcher of the Institute of literature and art. M. O. Auezov Gulzhakhan Orda; members: Director of the Institute of pedagogy and psychology of Almuhambetov Berikzhan, head of Department of psychological-pedagogical support of the educational process ripk FAO CRK «Orleu» Mahanbetova Agim, Director of the center «Rouhani gear» Imanberdiev Boratyn, Director of the research center «Hakim Abai» Sayingbut Zabal, head of the Department of preschool education and social pedagogy Kyakbaeva Ulbosyn and professor Bekmagambetova Rosa, lecturer of music education and choreography, Mombek Aliya.

The Olympiad was held in 2 stages:

Stage I-writing an essay on «Abay`s legacy in my life».

Stage II consists of three tasks:
1) development and protection of the scientific project «Abai and Kazakhstan in the XXI century».
2) representation of «Abay in my life» in connection with life situations.
3) show an excerpt from the lesson using «Abay`s pedagogical heritage».

The students demonstrated their teaching skills. The jury, which gave an objective assessment, summed up the results of the pedagogical Olympiad. Іn the individual competition, the nominations «Best essay», «Best lesson», and «Best scientific» project were awarded. Participants who took the I, II, and III places were awarded degree diplomas, certificates, and cash prizes.

Grand Prix was won by the team «Kara Shanyrak» of Abai Kazakh national pedagogical University;
I-place: «Daryndy ustaz» team of Taraz state pedagogical University;
II- place: the team of the Pavlodar state pedagogical University «Kareket» and the University «Syrdaria» «Tanym»;
III-place: the teams «Kazakh aruy» of the Kazakh national women`s pedagogical University and «Imani Gul» of the Eurasian national University L.N.Gumileva, «Samgau» of Aktobe University аfter S.Baishev.

Certificate and degree diplomas were awarded to the teams: «Alash zhastary» state University Shakarim, Semey, «Miras», Almaty University, «Kyran» of KazNAU, «Adamzattyn baryn syu, bauyrym dep» of Regional state University named after K. Zhubanov.

At the closing ceremony of the оlympiad, director of the «Rukhani zhangyru» center Imanberdiev Borasyn made a speech and presented diplomas and certificates thanking all the teams present. Berikzhan Almukhambetov passed the baton to the TarSPU team, which took 1st place. Next year, the Olympiad will be held in this University.

The Republican Olympiad ended with a performance of Abay Kunanbayev`s poem «Zhelsiz tunde zharyk аі».
