Celebration event at the Active Longevity Centre

On March 24, 2022, at the Center for Active Longevity of Alatau district of Almaty city was held a festive event, organized by Ulmeken Tuleshova, senior teacher of educational programs department for preschool, social pedagogy, self-discovery of the Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology of Abai KazNPU.

With the years, a person gets a rich life experience, uses all his abilities and forces in work, science, art, technology and other activities, passes knowledge and experience to new generations. Then comes old age, when in addition to physical changes, mental changes are also observed, such as forgetfulness, inability to concentrate. Pensioners often stay at home, miss companionship, suffer from loneliness and fall ill. This is where the Active Longevity Centres, which are now operating in many cities across the country, come in to help older people. Such centres provide psychological assistance, offer classes in aikon, yoga, language courses and other interests.

In honor of Nauryz, students of the 2nd year of Abai KazNPU held a festive event for mothers and grandmothers visiting the centre. Moldir Altayeva, Kunimay Amantayeva, Nurshat Maksatova and Nurilla Isatai performed a medley of old Kazakh songs. Uteulieva Zhanar expressively read a poem «Anashim». Pensioners and students sang and danced together. At the end, the head of the institution Uysimbayeva Gulnar thanked the students and their teachers.
