"Harmony of the soul" social music therapy

On February 17, 2023, according to the cultural and educational direction of the Meirim club, under the guidance of Associate Professor Shirinbaeva G.K., volunteer students of the specialty "6B01801-Social pedagogy and self-knowledge" U.Makhanbetova, D.Elemesova, A.Sparkhan, A.Serikbai, Saynov A, A.Akhmetbek, A.Baktybai, F.Shattyk, conducted social music therapy "Harmony of the soul" in small groups of people with disabilities of the social rehabilitation center "YERZI" in Almaty.

Within the framework of the event, the activities of volunteers were carried out in a team of specialists in physical therapy. Socio-pedagogical means of influence were used: developing self-confidence in disabled people through sports exercises "Ball in the center", listening to therapeutic soothing melodies, recording sounds of nature, singing through musical games "Guess the melody", as well as through literary creativity (reading poetry to musical accompaniment). The conducted music therapy contributed to relaxation after rehabilitation work of disabled people, and allowed volunteers to gain practical experience of the institution`s specialists in their work, improving their qualifications in social and pedagogical activities.
