"Mentor for children" is a tutoring social and pedagogical project

On December 06, 2023, as part of a volunteer practice at the Regional Center for the Support of Children in difficult situations, volunteer students of the 2nd year of the educational program "Social Pedagogy and self-knowledge", Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology Manap Aruzhan, Nagmetova Altynai, Saynov Almat, Abzhali Shokan, Ibadullaev Bakdoulet, Kaldybek Ayaulym, Sarsengalikyzy Asylai under the guidance of associate Professor Shirinbayeva Gulbakhira we conducted a lesson within the framework of the tutor project "Mentor for children".

During the tutoring work, volunteer students helped the children with their homework, explained the material that the children missed or did not understand in the lessons.

The volunteers worked in mini-groups, but sometimes individually, paying attention to their strengths and qualities. They used the game form of classes, trainings, therapeutic fairy tales, skits, logical riddles, tongue twisters, educational games, dances, songs, and organized extracurricular activities, board games and conversations.

An entertaining and educational lesson was held for the pupils of the younger groups. The fairy-tale characters told in a playful way about the rules of hygiene and cleanliness, about measures to prevent diseases. Thanks to therapeutic fairy tales, positive changes took place in the child`s condition and behavior.

They helped to find a way out of any situation, helped to find harmony and find peace.

The summing up took place in a reflective and friendly atmosphere. All the guys were satisfied and got positive emotions from each other.
