Advisory Council on the Discussion of the "Social Pedagogy" Educational Program On November 22, 2024, Suleyman Demirel University hosted an Advisory Council meeting to discuss the content of the "Social Pedagogy" educational program. This event served as a significant platform for the development of social pedagogy and ensuring its compliance with modern requirements. During the meeting, pressing issues were raised, including the improvement of the educational program, the renewal of its structural content, and alignment with international standards.
The event brought together representatives of various educational and social organizations, experienced educators, and scholars. In particular, Acting Associate Professors of the Department of Preschool Education and Social Pedagogy at the Faculty of Pedagogy and Psychology, Anar Alimbekova and Assem Bulshekbayeva, shared their expertise and proposed ideas for introducing new methodologies and technologies in the field of social pedagogy.
Active participants included the Executive Director of the Mothers` House, Azharkul Klyshbayeva; the Director of the international educational organization "SOS Children`s Village," Dinara Zhunusova; the Director of the Center for Social Inclusive Education, Saltanat Yakovleva; the Principal of Secondary School No. 10, Shara Udurimova; as well as university scholars. The participants extensively discussed ways to enhance the program`s quality and adapt it to the demands of the labor market.
During the council, participants addressed critical issues in social pedagogy and emphasized the strategic importance of increasing its role in society. Additionally, proposals were made to incorporate advanced global practices for the qualitative enhancement of the program`s content.
At the conclusion of the event, participants highlighted the high level of organization and the council`s effectiveness. They expressed their readiness to collaborate in the development of social pedagogy. As a result of the meeting, concrete proposals and plans for improving the educational program were developed, and agreements on further practical and scientific cooperation were reached.
