Completion of the charity campaign "The Road of Goodness"


From October 25 to December 2, 2024, with the support of the Department of Social and Youth Policy under the leadership of Associate Professor Shirinbaeva Gulbakhira, volunteer students conducted an online and offline charity event "The Road of Goodness" in the socio-pedagogical areas of the Meirim volunteer club. The event was organized in order to provide financial assistance to raise funds for the treatment in China of 42-year-old Kamshybek Koichugulov (severe closed spinal injury) and the purchase of simulators necessary for people with disabilities at the YERZI social rehabilitation center in Almaty.

 

To achieve this goal, fairs were held among the university staff, faculty and students of the faculties of "Pedagogy and Psychology", "Mathematics, "Physics and Computer Science", "Physical Culture and initial military training", "Natural Sciences and Geography", "Philology" and "Arts".

 

On December 2, a donation box was opened, in which about 650,210 thousand tenge was collected. A part of about 245,010 thousand tenge collected as part of the campaign was awarded to Koichugulov Kamshybek with the participation of Deputy Dean for Educational and Social Work of the Faculty of Pedagogy and Psychology Elmurat Kurmangali, head of the Department of Preschool Education and Social Pedagogy Kiyakbaeva Ulbosyn, teachers Azimbayeva Dariga, Abilbakieva Galiya, Auyezova Aizhan and student volunteers of the specialty "6B01801-Social pedagogy", "6B01201-Preschool education and upbringing".

 

For the rest of the collected amount of about 405,200 thousand tenge, simulators necessary for people with disabilities of the YERZI social rehabilitation center in Almaty will be purchased. The Meirim Volunteer Club expresses its deep gratitude to all participants of the actions for their desire to help people with disabilities.
