International Coworking “Inclusive Education in the Era of Artificial Intelligence: Innovations and Challenges for Educators” On November 24, 2025, the Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University hosted an international coworking event titled “Inclusive Education in the Era of Artificial Intelligence: Innovations and Challenges for Educators”, organized by the Faculty of Pedagogy and Psychology, Department of Preschool Education and Social Pedagogy.The main goal of the coworking event was to identify effective ways of integrating artificial intelligence technologies into the system of inclusive education, discuss innovative teaching methods for educators, and explore solutions to professional challenges emerging in the era of digitalization and AI.The coworking was opened by Banu Narbekova, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of Abai University, who emphasized the strategic importance of integrating artificial intelligence and inclusive approaches in modern education. The event was moderated by Ulbosyn Kyyakbayeva, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences and Associate Professor, Head of the Department of Preschool Education and Social Pedagogy, who presented the program and outlined the key directions of the coworking session.Professors from The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK), leading scholars from Kazakhstan’s major universities, representatives of international cooperation departments, young researchers, and students participated in the coworking.With a welcoming address, Bayan Sapargaliyeva, Director of the Department of International Cooperation of Abai University, highlighted the importance of such platforms for strengthening the university’s global academic connections. Acting Dean of the Faculty of Pedagogy and Psychology, PhD and Associate Professor Gulmira Nietbayeva, also greeted the participants and presented the faculty’s scientific and practical initiatives in the field of inclusive education.The speakers’ presentations addressed various aspects of applying artificial intelligence in inclusive education.Professor Song Yanjie (EdUHK, Hong Kong) introduced AI-based methods for improving the emotional well-being of children with special educational needs (SEN). Associate Professor Yuen Chi Pun Kevin (EdUHK, Hong Kong) presented innovative approaches to assessing young children’s listening abilities in noisy environments.Kazakhstani scholars also discussed key issues in the development of modern pedagogy.
Professor Roza Bekmagambetova examined new models for training future preschool educators in the AI era, while Professor Aiman Berikhanova, Head of the UNESCO Chair, presented a report on innovative interventions as a factor in ensuring the sustainable development of teacher education.Madina Suleimen,Head of the Center for Social and Inclusive Education Research at SDU University, revealed the essence of the “imagined learner” model used in lesson preparation.Saltanat Nurbekova,Head of the Department of Pedagogy and Methods of Primary Education at the Kazakh National
