Consultative Council on the Educational Program “Social Pedagogy”

On December 12, 2025, a meeting of the Consultative Council dedicated to updating the content of the educational program “Social Pedagogy” was held at Suleyman Demirel University. The event was organized with the aim of aligning the training of specialists in the field of social pedagogy with contemporary requirements, improving the quality of education, and ensuring the program’s relevance to labor market demands.During the meeting, key issues related to improving the structure of the educational program, the content of academic disciplines, learning outcomes, and the system of developed competencies were discussed. Particular attention was paid to aligning the program with international educational standards, strengthening practice-oriented learning, and introducing innovative pedagogical technologies.The meeting brought together representatives of various educational institutions and social sector organizations, as well as experienced educators and scholars. Acting Associate Professors of the Department of Preschool Education and Social Pedagogy at the Faculty of Pedagogy and Psychology, Anar Alimbekova and Assem Bulshekbayeva, shared their professional experience, outlined current trends in the training of social pedagogues, and presented specific proposals for integrating modern methodologies and practice-oriented technologies into the educational process.The participants emphasized the social significance of social pedagogy and the crucial role of professional training in working with socially vulnerable groups. The importance of adapting and incorporating best international practices into the content of the educational program was also highlighted.As a result of the meeting, specific recommendations aimed at improving the educational program were developed, and agreements were reached on the further development of scientific and practical cooperation. The participants noted the high level of organization and effectiveness of the Consultative Council’s work and expressed their readiness to engage in joint efforts to advance the field of social pedagogy.
