“The Role of Scientific Communication in Developing the Professional Culture of Future Educators”

 

    On January 19, 2026, Kymbat Temirkhanova, a 2nd-year PhD student of the educational program 8D01201 – Preschool Education and Training at the Department of Preschool Education and Social Pedagogy, Faculty of Pedagogy and Psychology, Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University, organized a focus session within the framework of her research topic entitled “Developing Scientific Communication Skills of Future Preschool Teachers Based on Cognitive Teaching Methods” (scientific supervisor – PhD, Acting Associate Professor Assem Bulshekbayeva).The main purpose of the focus session was to promote students’ understanding of the essence of scientific communication and to develop their ability to apply it within the framework of professional culture.

The focus session was conducted for first-year students of the educational program 6B01204 – Preschool Education (IP). During the interactive session, participants used the concept mapping method related to the concept of “scientific communication” and took part in group work, comparative analysis, and discussions on the topics of “written and oral scientific communication.” These methods contributed to the development of critical thinking, the ability to justify opinions, and the formation of skills for fluent communication in academic language.Participants gained new knowledge and practical experience in academic speaking, logical expression of ideas, and presenting research results in scientific formats. At the end of the session, feedback was collected from students, and their reflections were heard. The event became an important platform for the development of students’ professional competencies.
