Seminar on the Topic “Analysis of the Professional Duties of a Preschool Teacher in the Context of the State Compulsory Standard of Preschool Education and Training”

 

   On January 22, 2026, the Department of Preschool Education and Social Pedagogy of the Faculty of Pedagogy and Psychology at Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University organized a seminar entitled “Analysis of the Professional Duties of a Preschool Teacher in the Context of the MJSB” within the framework of the academic activity of Dana Dauirbayeva, a 2nd-year PhD student of the educational program 8D01201 – Preschool Education and Upbringing (scientific supervisor: PhD, Acting Associate Professor Assem Bulshekbayeva).The main purpose of the seminar was to create conditions for students to gain a deep understanding of the professional activity of a preschool teacher within the requirements of the State Compulsory Standard of Preschool Education and Training, as well as to develop skills in working with regulatory and legal documents, conducting professional analysis, and fostering pedagogical thinking.During the seminar, the structure and content of the State Compulsory Standard of Preschool Education and Training were analyzed, and the professional duties, functions, and responsibilities of a preschool teacher were examined through concrete examples. To increase student engagement, interactive methods were used, including question-and-answer sessions, group discussions, and situational tasks. The students analyzed typical situations encountered in the daily professional practice of a preschool teacher, aligning them with the requirements of the State Compulsory Standard of Preschool Education and Training.The methods applied during the seminar contributed to the development of students’ critical thinking, their ability to professionally analyze regulatory documents, and to clearly and convincingly express their own viewpoints. As a result of the seminar, students deepened their theoretical knowledge of the professional duties of a preschool teacher and developed practical understanding essential for their future professional activity. At the end of the seminar, feedback was collected, during which students shared their impressions and suggestions.
