An open lecture session was held as part of the teaching practice

On February 4, 2026, within the framework of pedagogical practice, the Department of Preschool Education and Social Pedagogy of the Faculty of Pedagogy and Psychology at Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University held an open lecture for 3rd-year students of the educational program 6B01201 – Preschool Education and Upbringing.

The open lecture on the topic “Methodology of Conducting Outdoor Games for Different Age Groups” was delivered in the course “Methodology of Physical Education of Preschool Children” by the 2nd-year doctoral student of the educational program 8D01201 – Preschool Education and Upbringing, Sulushash Kaskyrbayevna Kudaibergenova (scientific supervisor: Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor N.O.Atemkulova). The course instructor was Master’s degree holder, Senior Lecturer A.A.Auezova.

The main purpose of the lecture was to form students’ theoretical knowledge about the methodology of organizing and conducting outdoor games in accordance with the age characteristics of preschool children.

During the lecture, doctoral student S. Kudaibergenova actively used interactive teaching methods and various game-based technologies. The applied methods contributed to the development of students’ critical thinking and enabled them to express their opinions clearly and with justification. A total of 60 students attended the lecture. The presented material was clear, structured, engaging, and accessible. Students demonstrated a high level of activity and interest, striving to give accurate and complete answers to the lecturer’s questions, which indicated that they had successfully mastered the new material. Sulushash Kudaibergenova established effective interaction with the audience.

At the end of the open lecture, students achieved the following learning outcomes: they were able to distinguish types of outdoor games according to the age characteristics of preschool children, understood the main methodological requirements for organizing outdoor games, and mastered the pedagogical principles of selecting appropriate games for each age group. In addition, students identified effective ways to apply outdoor games in their future professional activities. Feedback was collected at the end of the lecture, during which students shared their impressions and suggestions.

The objectives of the lesson were fully achieved. Students mastered the topic and acquired theoretical knowledge applicable to their professional practice. The open lecture was informative, methodologically sound, and effective.

The participants discussed the lecture and shared their professional opinions.
