Online lecture by Professor Joon-Kong Chung on «Towards a New Community - Its Necessity and Importance»

On 24 February 2022, the Department of Political Science and Social and Philosophical Disciplines of the Institute of History and Law held another lecture as part of the Eurasia Foundation (from Asia) project. The theme of the lecture was «Towards a new community - its necessity and importance». It was delivered by Joon-Kon Chung, Professor at the Eurasia Foundation (from Asia) Central Office. The Foundation has sponsored lectures in many universities around the world and interest is growing year by year. Various meta-analyses are also held.

Before the lecture began, the professor asked the audience, «What kind of community do we need in the future?» He then explained what a community is and what it is for. It is clear that human needs are one of the most important factors in the development of society, and of course they influence the emergence of new technologies. And the natural sciences play an important role in this. The lecturer also clearly explained such concepts as «time», «space» and «man», which are basic for all mankind. Obviously, people live in a certain environment. They are developed and formed in the same society. As a result of such a circle, a person`s interest in life appears.

At the end of the lecture, the Professor stressed the need to focus on the space of society and community. The organizer of this event also expressed gratitude to the head of the Department of Political Science and Socio-philosophical Disciplines, Professor Zhomart Simtikov.

At the end of the lecture, students and undergraduates asked various questions related to social development issues in the world.
