Visiting foreign philologists

On February 25 and 26, 2022, the International Congress "Lotman`s Semiosphere", organized by Tallinn University (Estonia), brought together well-known specialists in semiotics from Estonia, Russia, Czech Republic, Italy, Lithuania, Latvia, USA, Finland, Sweden, France, Israel, Germany, Poland. Many of them came to Tallinn, the rest performed online.

The Department of Russian Language and Literature of the Institute of Philology and Multilingual Education has been cooperating with colleagues from Tallinn University for many years. Professor Saule Abisheva and Associate Professor Zinaida Polyak have repeatedly participated in scientific conferences of Estonian scientists with reports. This time, the literary critics of Abai KazNPU were invited to the conference as guests.

The lecturers of the department listened with great interest to the reports of the section chaired by Professor of Tallinn University Irina Belobrovtseva. All the participants` speeches of the International Congress are related to the development of the scientific heritage of the outstanding scientist and humanist of the twentieth century, Yuri Mikhailovich Lotman, whose 100th anniversary is dedicated to this forum of philologists.
