Distance learning - a modern format of education

On April 28, 2020, at the Department of Geography, Ecology and Tourism of the Institute of Geography and Natural Sciences, a webinar on the topic: «Distance learning - a modern format of education» was held.

The purpose of the webinar: the exchange of experience and various methods of conducting classes online.

The moderator of the webinar - Zhanna Tilekova, assistant professor of the Department of Geography, Ecology and Tourism. A welcoming speech delivered by the head of the Institute Kulyash Kaymuldinova.

Speakers: professor of L.N. Gumilev ENU Kuat Saparov; Head of the Department of Geography and Tourism of KazNWTTU Shahislam Layskhanov; Lecturer of the Mountain Tourism` club Darkhan Abuov and professors and teachers of the Department of Geography, Ecology and Tourism of the Institute of Geography and Natural Sciences of Abai KazNPU: Nadezhda Ivleva, Bahadur Abdimanapov, Dina Borankulova, Duman Aliaskarov and Zhanar Kaldybayeva.

The webinar discussed the role of paleotonyms in cartography, ways to use geographic information resources in distance learning, organization of feedback with students, conducting classes in the «Mountain Tourism» circle in the new conditions, the effective use of Web-mapping services in the discipline «Cartography», technology of distance learning on environmental problems of the atmosphere. An exchange of experience and opinions took place.
