Conference of students and young scientists "World of Farabi"

On April 8, 2023 al-Farabi KazNU held an international scientific conference "The World of Farabi". It was attended by students, postgraduate students and young scientists of Kazakhstan and foreign universities and research institutes under the age of 35, as well as a number of 1st year students of the specialty "6B05203-Geography" of the Institute of Natural Sciences and Geography of Abai KazNPU, led by Sholpan Aldibekova (Department of "Geography and Ecology"). We are proud to announce that they won prizes. The papers of our students were presented at the "Geodesy, Cartography, GIS" sectional meeting. They were among the 60 participants who made the best papers on theoretical, practical and applied scientific innovations.

For example, student Toles Nariman was awarded a diploma of II degree for his paper "Modern GIS in RK and its application in education". Students were awarded certificates for their creative direction and innovative approach: Rustem Usenbekuly - "Recent achievements of space GIS monitoring for RK industries", Talen Shingyshan - "Advantages and drawbacks of modern GIS", Tatbaev Didar - "Geoinformation in our country. Opportunities and achievements of using systems (GIS) in healthcare and medicine", Tagay Daniyar - "Space monitoring of production and consumption waste in our country".

Also, Geokurs company chief specialist A.T. Koishigarina gave a master class on "Modern geodetic devices used in construction and surveying (GNSS receivers, laser scanners, robotic tachymeters and digital levels)".

This conference helped to increase students` interest in their future profession and scientific work.
