Women and girls in Science
On January 27, 2024, a meeting "Women and girls in Science" was held at the community center for youth of the Auezov district of Almaty city. The organizer was Yel-Dana Amanzholkyzy, a young university lecturer, tourism expert, public opinion leader in Almaty, head of social projects. The meeting was conceived within the framework of the "Girls Community" for girls. Three experts were invited as speakers. The first speaker was postdoctoral researcher Seilkhan Ainur, a lecturer at the Department of Geography and Ecology of Institute of Natural Sciences and Geography, KazNPU named after Abay, who completed an internship in Belarus, Turkey, and the USA. She actively publishes in journals that are members of Committee for Quality Assurance in Science and Higher Education of MSHE, and in journals indexed by Scopus and Web of Science. She touched on the topic of "How to Do Science Without Stress." The next speaker, Temirbekova Marzhan, defended her phD in power engineering in London and entered postdoctoral studies in Marseille, France. Marzhan shared a lot of information on the topic "Finding good journals, how to write scientific articles, about international grants." The last speaker was Malshi Moldir, PhD candidate, senior lecturer at SDU, ex-head of the educational department of Tesla Education. She raised the topic "Work life balance and motivation." Since she herself lectures in the field of psycholinguistics, listeners are lucky to receive a lot of useful information.
