6-day tourist trek through the valley of the Charyn river

From March 20 to March 26, the faculty of the department of geography and tourism of the Institute of Natural History and Geography organized a tourist and excursion tour through the territory of the Charyn State National Natural Park, dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the department of geography and tourism and the 90th anniversary of Abai KazNPU.

The students made a 6-day hiking tour along the Charyn river valley. In practice, they consolidated their theoretical knowledge and skills in the techniques and tactics of active types of tourism and orientation on the terrain. During the tourist trip the students took part in the International Environmental Action «March of Parks».

Such campaigns create an ecological culture among young people and educate them, and increase their interest in the study of the environment.
