Rules for admission to magistracy

 

Acceptance of applications for admission to the magistracy is held from 3 to 25 July.

 

Applicants for admission to the magistracy pass Complex testing

Entry exams:

- from 8 to 16 August

- admission - until August 25.

 

 

Complex testing for training in the profile magistracy with the English language of instruction is held from 8 to 16 August.

Applicants must have an academic degree «Bachelor».

 

For training on the state educational order, persons who score the highest points in the amount of entrance examinations in a foreign language and in the specialty are enrolled:

for scientific and pedagogical magistracy

not less than 100 points, incl. foreign language at least 50 points

2

For profile magistracy

not less than 70 points, incl. foreign language at least 30 points

For the profile magistracy (with the English language of instruction)

persons who have obtained not less than 25 points from the entrance exams are admitted on a competitive basis, including not less than 7 points on the test for the readiness of the training, by specialty: one correct answer - at least 8 points, one or more correct answers - not less than 10 points.

 

Persons who have scored: at least 75 points are enrolled for training on a fee basis.

 

1. EXAMINATION ON A FOREIGN LANGUAGE

The entrance exam in a foreign language (English, French, German) is taken in the form of testing by the technologies of the National Center for State Education Standards and Testing of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

 

Applicants are exempt from the entrance exam in a foreign language in the presence of an International Certificate certifying the proficiency in a foreign language in accordance with European competences (standards)

 

English:

- International English Language System (IELTS - less than 4.5),

- Test of the Foreign Language Institutional Testing Program (TOEFL ITP - not less than 460 points),

- The International Language Institutional Testing Program Internet-based Test (TOEFL IBT, threshold score - at least 87),

- TOEFL threshold score - at least 560 points.

 

German:

- Deutsche Sprachprufungfur den Hochschulzugang (DSH, Niveau C1 / Level C1),

- TestDaF-Prufung (Niveau C1 / C1 level).

 

French:

- Test de Français International (TFI - not lower than B1 level in reading and listening sections),

- Diplome d`Etudes en Langue français (DELF, Level B2),

- Diplome Approfondi de Langue françaisé (DALF, level C1), Test de connaissance du français TCF - not less than 400 points.

 

2. EXAMINATION ON SPECIALTY

Comprehensive testing in two core subjects.

The list of necessary documents for admission to the magistracy:

- statement (issued by the selection committee);

- notarized copy and original of the document on higher education with the application;

- сertificate of passing the test (if available);

- personal record of personnel registration (original) certified and notarized copy of the document confirming seniority (for persons who have seniority);

- six 3x4 photos;

- medical certificate of the form No. 086-U with fluorography, certified in a student clinic in Almaty or medical cente of Abai KazNPU ;

- A copy of the identity card (2 pcs.);

- form 2.3 list of scientific and methodological works certified by a scientific secretary (if available);

- receipt of payment for the entrance exam in a foreign language, according to the requisite.

 

Together with the entire copy, the original documents are provided for verification. After the reconciliation, the originals are returned.
