Department of Philological specialties for foreign nationals held XIII International Scientific Conference

On April 7, 2022 within the Decade of Science of Abai KazNPU passed XIII international scientific conference of young scientists «Kazakhstan in the international educational space», which was organized by the Department of Philological specialties of the Faculty for Foreign Citizens and Pre-University Education. The conference was attended by researchers from Kazakhstan, Russia, China, Egypt, the Philippines, Syria, Venezuela and other countries.

The plenary session was opened by the Director of the Department of Science of Abai KazNPU Abdigapbarova U.M., who noted the wide geography of the participants and the importance of expanding international relations of the university.

In her welcoming speech the Consul General of the Russian Federation in Almaty Baryshnikova T.V. spoke about the projects of the Consulate and presented textbooks and manuals to foreign students of Abai KazNPU.

Wu Yanqiu, head of the Department of Russian language of Zhejiang Institute of Foreign Languages (PRC) shared the successful experience of the program of academic mobility in Abai KazNPU and expressed hope for the continuation of successful bilateral cooperation with the Department of philological specialties for foreign citizens.

A.V. Yudin, Deputy Director of the Institute of Development of Digital Education, Moscow State University (Russia), noted the special creative atmosphere when working with young researchers and wished the participants fruitful results.

Oralbekova A. K., Associate Professor at SKSU (Shymkent) told about the inclusive education in Kazakhstan and the prospects of its development.

The deputy director on educational work Popova N. V. told about the partnership of the educational institution «Lakeview School Almaty» and the chair of philological specialities for foreign citizens. Such successful creative alliances, in her opinion, create the conditions for the continuity in learning and the successful interaction of the model «School - University».

Summing up the plenary session, the conference moderator, Head of the Chair of Philological Specialties S. B. Begalieva, stressed the special mission of the Chair to increase the foreign contingent of students and noted that a high number of foreign students increases the position of the university in international rankings of universities.

Discussions on vital issues were continued in academic sections. The best reports were awarded I, II, III degree diplomas. By results of conference the publication of the collection and theses of reports is provided.
