The final conference on pedagogical practice of graduate students of the Department of Chemistry

On April 25, 2020, the final online conference on the pedagogical practice of graduate students in the specialty «5B011200-Chemistry», «5B060600-Chemistry» of the Department of Chemistry of the Institute of natural science and geography was held. The event was held through the Zoom program.

The online conference was attended by Director of the Institute of estestvoznaniia and geography, professor Kaimuldinova Kulyash, head of the center «Mansap» Zhetibay Rakhymberdy, Deputy Director for Academic Affairs Demeuova Lyazzat, Deputy Director for Science and International Affairs Zhumagulova Kalampyr, Deputy Director for Educational Affairs Manapov Nurlan, Head of the Department Mukatayeva Zhazira, Associate Professor Tilekova Zhanna, and chemistry teacher at Lyceum No. 92 Myktybek Tanirbergen, chemistry teacher at School No. 146 Sagyntai Nursultan, responsible for pedagogical practice Zhusupbekova Nursulu, methodologists: professors Mansurov Bakir and Turgumbayev Raushan, associate professors Unerbayeva Zulfiya, Zhaksibayeva Zhanar and Korganbayeva Zhanar, senior lecturer Kozhagulova Zhanar, teachers Zholdasbek Balkenzhe and Zaurova Saltanat, graduate students.

The conference was opened by: Kaymuldinova Kulyash, Zhetibay Rakhymberdi, Mukatayeva Zhazira. The speakers spoke about the educational program «Effectiveness of the dual training system» and that the 4th year students undergo pedagogical practice during the year, which is included in the work experience and, most importantly, provides optimal employment conditions.

During the online conference, students presented their reports on teaching practice, which was held from September 16 to April 20, 2020. They told about their achievements and problems, and their impressions of being a teacher.

Then there was a discussion about the organization and passage of pedagogical practice, about the level of preparedness of graduate students. In their opinion, internships without a break from studies and for such a long time - from September to April - made it possible to implement the acquired knowledge in the walls of the university and acquire skills in training bases, since the quality of their knowledge is directly related to the performance of official duties at workplaces , with bridging the gap between theory and practice.

The event was also attended by one student of a scientific field who underwent practical training at the Ulba Metallurgical Plant in Ust-Kamenogorsk from January 13 to April 26 of this year, according to the academic calendar. He expressed hope that in the future all graduate students of the scientific direction will have the opportunity to undergo practical training at enterprises, in research institutions to implement and improve their skills in practice.

The abovementioned chemistry teachers expressed their opinions on the issues raised. They expressed gratitude to student interns, their leaders, as well as to the organizers of pedagogical practice for fruitful cooperation.

In general, this online conference was held at a high level: students` reports were listened to, a discussion was held about the practice, opinions were heard from school representatives and the conference was summed up.
