The Department of Chemistry hosted the subject competition “Leader of Chemistry”

On November 15, 2025, the Department of Chemistry at the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Geography held a competition titled “Leader of Chemistry.” First-year chemistry students participated, showcasing their theoretical knowledge, research skills, and professional competencies.

The main purpose of the event was to increase students interest in chemistry, develop the professional thinking of future chemistry teachers, and train them to make correct decisions in complex situations using modern teaching methods.

The competition consisted of three stages:

• Stage I – “Wheel of Fortune”: participants answered theoretical questions in inorganic chemistry.

• Stage II – “Contextual Tasks”: students completed tasks based on specific situations, including reaction equations and related questions.

• Stage III – “Experimental Challenge”: participants performed practical tasks based on a laboratory demonstration on the board.

The “Leader of Chemistry” competition allowed students to consolidate their knowledge in practice, enhance their professional skills, and understand the importance of innovative approaches in chemistry education.
