«Teacher of the year-2019»

On December 9, 2019 at Abai Kazakh national pedagogical University, the Institute of natural science and geography held for the first time a competition among the teaching staff «Teacher of the year-2019» in the specialties «Chemistry», «Biology» and «Geography».

The purpose of the competition is the formation of professional competencies among young teachers, improving the quality of education, increasing interest in the profession, based on the strategic directions of forming the image of the teacher of the XXI century, specified in paragraph 1.6 of the development strategy of university for 2018-2025.

The objectives of the competition: to identify talented, creative teachers; to improve the status of pedagogical work; to increase the professional competence of teachers; to develop the interest of teachers in new innovative ideas and activities.

The competition «Teacher of the year-2019» was attended by specialty «Chemistry» associate professors Aymangul Meyrmanova and Zulfiya Unerbayeva, senior lecturers Dinara Kasymbekova, specialty «Biology» senior lecturer Dina Kulzhanova and specialty «Geography» senior lecturer Gulim Zhandosova, PhD, senior lecturer Duman Aliaskarov, master of geography, senior lecturer Aikun Kuspanova.

Kirabaev of the Institute of Philology and multilingual education G.P. Shakharman and R. Rakhmetov, teachers of the department of methods of teaching mathematics, physics and computer science of the Institute of mathematics, physics and computer science E. Tuyakov and B. Kosanov.

At the opening of the competition, the Vice-rector for scientific work and international cooperation, Professor Akolkyn Kulsarieva, congratulated and wished good luck to the participants of the competition.

The competition was held in two stages. Competitions held at the I stage: 1.1 conducting open lessons-Master class (video tutorial). 1.2 preparation of a Portfolio. Competitions held at the II stage: 2.1 brief video presentation on the choice of profession and teaching experience of the teacher on the topic «Profession-my pride». 2.2 to the 175th anniversary of the birth of the great Abai on the theme: «Okytushy-Ulgi, onege!» the role of the teacher in the education of the younger generation (reading Abay`s poems, performing songs, organizing scenes).

According to the results of the competition, 1 place was taken by Meyrmanova Aymangul, 2 place by Kasymbekova Dinara, 3 place by Unerbayeva Zulfiya. All participants were awarded cash certificates and bouquets of flowers.

Director of the Institute of natural Sciences and geography, professor Kulyash Kaimuldinova expressed gratitude and respect to the teachers who took part in the competition. She also wished that in the future the competition «Teacher of the year-2019» was held within the University.
