Kazakhstan in the international educational space

On April 14, 2020 as part of the traditional Decade of Science of Abai KazNPU, the department of philological specialties for foreign citizens of the faculty for foreign citizens and pre-university training held the XI International online conference for young scientists «Kazakhstan in the international educational space», dedicated to the 175th anniversary of Abay Kunanbayev.

The Director of the Department of Science, Doctor of Philosophy, academician of KazNANS Sakhiev Sayabek, opened the conference. He emphasized the importance of such a person as Abay, who was ahead of his time and made an invaluable contribution to the development of the whole Kazakhstani society and world culture, where the main value of the spiritual heritage, the peak of his worldview is Man. «The words of Abai`s edification are of great educational significance, especially for our youth», he said.

The purpose of this conference was, first of all, the creation of an international scientific dialogue platform for discussion and exchange of innovative ideas, technologies, the exchange of experience in the field of Abaevology, Pedagogy and National Education, Social and Humanitarian and Technical Sciences.

The conference brought together many of the country`s universities: Kazakh National Women`s Teacher training University; the University of International Business, the East Kazakhstan State University named after S. Amanzholov, the South Kazakhstan State Pedagogical University named after M. Auezov, the Kokshetau State University named after S. Valikhanov, as well as Universities of the near and far abroad, Peoples Friendship University of Russia (Moscow, Russia), Hanoi National Pedagogical University et (Hanoi, Vietnam). In collaboration with the above universities, the department of philological specialties for foreign citizens made a significant contribution to modern science, to strengthening cooperation and mutual cooperation, and the proposals voiced during the meeting will be successfully implemented in practice as believed by organizers and participants of the meeting.

Mr. Chan Din Lam, Ph.D., professor of the Hanoi National Pedagogical University, expressed his desire in his speech for the Abai Center, which was opened in 2013, to continue its work for the benefit of our universities and countries. «The Abai Center is necessary for a full-fledged dialogue platform for the exchange of cultures, educational programs and international scientific projects», the professor believes, as well as for the development of bilateral relations in the field of academic mobility and double diploma education between universities of the two countries.

Professor, Department of the Russian Language and Intercultural Communication of the Peoples` Friendship University of Russia (Moscow), U.M. Bakhtikireeva also expressed a special desire for cooperation and development of our relations in the field of Kazakhstan philological science and Kazakhstan education in general.

At the conference there were heard reports of professors and teachers represented by the Head of Department of Pedagogy of the SKSPU (Shymkent), PhD Oralbekova AK, Professor of the Department of Russian Language and Literature KazNWTTU Onalbaeva AT, Associate Professor of our Department G. Nurakhunova and others.

Students, undergraduates and doctoral students who prepared informative presentations and reports were highly appreciated by the head of the Department of Philological Specialties for Foreign Citizens Begalieva S.B. and dean of the faculty Taubaeva G.Z.

In a speech of a fourth-year student Pak Jong-dong (R. Korea), «Russian Sustainable Comparisons on the Topic» Human Physiological Status «in Comparison with the Korean Language: Linguocultural Aspect», there were presented and noted Russian stable expressions, which are considered in a linguoculturological aspect against a typologically unrelated Korean language; Choriminison Zo Nirina (R. Madagascar), 1st year undergraduate, spoke about the features of business etiquette in Germany; Li Duo (China), first-year doctoral student, presented video materials in teaching Russian to foreign students.

The work of the online conference was continued at the following breakout sessions: Abaevology, Pedagogy and National Education, Philological Sciences, Natural Sciences, Social Sciences and Humanities, Research work of schoolchildren.

In addition, the department plans to hold an international round table in the online mode on the theme «Abai and Pushkin: the harmony of cultures», which will bring together such universities as Moscow State Pedagogical University, RUDN (Moscow, Russia), BSU (Baku, Azerbaijan), Hanoi National Pedagogical University, which will be held on April 23, 2020.
