Department of Philological specialties for foreign citizens

February 17, 2021 the Department of Philological specialties for foreign citizens in order to implement career guidance work held Open Door Day.

The guests of honor were representatives of the Consulate General of the Russian Federation in Almaty, Professor of Hanoi University of Business and Technology Tran Dinh Lam (Vietnam).

Welcoming remarks to the participants and guests of the event were made by the Vice-Rector for Strategic Development and Internationalization of Abai KazNPU A.T. Kulsarieva.

The Head of the Department of philological specialties for foreign citizens S.B. Begaliyeva told about how the process of teaching Kazakh and Russian languages to foreign citizens was organized, about the participation of students and students of language courses in various events of the Faculty and the University.

Teachers of the department Nurakhunova G.M., Balgazina B.S., Mamytbekova L.K., Esirkepova I.E. introduced the training programs in «Russian as a foreign language» (bachelor, master, doctorate) and language courses (YAGIS, TORFL) and provided detailed information about the rules of admission of foreign citizens to Abai KazNPU.

Members of the Department of International Cooperation and the Center for guidance and admission of students, who answered questions of foreign students and applicants, attended the event.

As part of the Open House Day, a traditional meeting with alumni of different years was held. Sincere words of gratitude to the university and teachers of the Department of Philological specialties for foreign nationals sounded from Phan Dinh Hoang (Vietnam), Pham Le Ngoc An (Canada), Husainov Sidik (Tajikistan), Park Soli and Kim Songji (South Korea), Ongtangco Christian, Ongtangco Aleli (Philippines) and Xi Sin Zhu (China).

Second year doctoral student Li Duo (China), second year undergraduate student Hariminoson Zo Nirina Myarintsoa (Madagascar) and second year undergraduate student Chen Dawei (China) shared their impressions of the study. A video «Our Weekdays and Holidays» prepared by students of the department was shown.

Secondary Education School № 65 (Almaty), «New School» (Almaty city), and Kargaly Specialized Gymnasium № 2 (Kargaly village, Zhambyl district, Almaty region) were invited to the event. (Almaty), Kargaly Specialized Gymnasium No. 2 (Kargaly village, Zhambyl district, Almaty region).
