An event entitled "Your Future Profession – Your Step Today" was organized.

The event titled "Your Future Profession – Your Step Today" took place on December 2, 2025, at the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Geography of Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University.

The event was aimed at providing career guidance for school students. 84 students and 4 teachers from Secondary School No. 39 in Enbekshikazakh village, Talgar district, Almaty region, participated in the event. The event was organized by the faculty members responsible for career guidance: Omaraev Kairat, Zhaksybayeva Janar, Kuljanova Dina, and Sarsekova Klara.

The main goal of the career guidance work was to provide school students with comprehensive information about the professions offered at the faculty, familiarize them with the educational process, laboratory equipment, and research directions. The students were taken on an educational tour around the faculty, during which they visited the Geography Department, Chemistry, and Biology laboratories. At the Geography Department, the students were introduced to the faculty`s educational programs and the necessary skills to become successful professionals in the future. The Biology Department presented their laboratory capabilities and provided career guidance to the future specialists.

The students explored the equipment, classrooms, and unique features of laboratory work, and had the opportunity to ask questions that interested them. During the event, students from the Chemistry Department demonstrated various interesting chemical experiments, introducing the students to the practical side of science. The students had the chance to see scientific experiments firsthand and learn about the professional activities of specialists. At the end of the event, the students visited the Abai Museum at the university.

The meeting expanded the students understanding of higher education institutions and helped them make informed decisions regarding their future professions.The career guidance event increased the students interest in the scientific field and provided additional motivation for choosing their future careers.
