In the 2017-2018 academic year, the members of the Department were the organizers of the International Scientific and Methodological Conference «New Scientific Directions of Kazakh Linguistics» dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the well-known linguistic scientist, teacher, honored worker of science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, doctor of pedagogical sciences, professor Nurzhamal Oralbaykyzy Oralbay (15 May 2018).

Members of the Department (section of the Kazakh language) together with the Kazakh Language Department prepared information letters, the conference program, a collection of materials of this conference, certificates to the participants of the conference.
