The educational and methodical activity of the department of political science and socio-philosophical disciplines consists of the following main components:
- the development of annual educational programs in five specialties of the magistracy and three specialties of the doctorate of PhD;
- preparation on the basis of educational programs catalogs of elective disciplines in the specialties of the department;
- preparation of working curricula for specialties by the beginning of the school year;
- providing students with syllabuses on the subject of specialties;
- development of an educational and methodical complex of disciplines of specialties;
- preparation of materials for the current and final control of students` knowledge, as well as the preparation of test tasks;
- training of young specialists: exchange of experience, teaching methods and application of various forms of interpretation to new knowledge;
- intra-departmental control over the quality of teaching, the implementation of the schedule of open classes, mutual visits and the effectiveness of innovative methods of teaching and learning;
- control over the implementation of dissertation research undergraduates and doctoral students;
- discussion of master`s and doctoral theses at the meetings of the theoretical seminar of the educational and methodical bureau of the department;
- internal examination of educational and methodical works of the faculty of the department;
- placement of educational and methodical products of the department in the portal of the university «Univer» and in the electronic library of the university library;
- participation in educational and methodical work of the institute and the university and other works.

on the basis of the AA series license No. 0000205, issued by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the order of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated December 26, 2003, the Order of the Committee for Control in Education and Science of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated July 15, 2008 No. 870.

Master students are trained in 5 specialties:

since 2010 on the basis of the license of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, series AB No. 0137373, order of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated 03.02. Of 2010, Order of the Committee for Control in the Field of Education and Science of the MES of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated 29. 04. 2010 No. 763, and in accordance with the State Compulsory Standard of Postgraduate Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, 5.04.033-2011, State Compulsory Education Standard of Postgraduate Education, approved by a Government Decree Of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated August 23, 2012 № 1080.

By the order of the Committee for Control in the Field of Education and Science of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated August 27, 2018, the department issued a bachelor`s license in five specialties:

The department introduces the practice of open classes and master classes. Also, mutual visits of teaching staff at the department are implemented according to the following criteria:
- accessibility and relevance of the material presented on the topic;
- use of elements of problem-based learning;
- the use of new methods and teaching methods;
- the use of multimedia and information and communication technologies.
- assessment of knowledge and skills;

Occupations are reflected in special journals of mutual visits.

The faculty of the department actively participates in the work of scientific and methodological conferences and seminars.

Special attention at the department is paid to the development and creation of teaching aids on disciplines.

Educational and methodical work is carried out very productively, based on the tasks of teaching and methodological support of the educational process with standard programs, work plans, textbooks and teaching aids, electronic textbooks that meet the requirements of the State Educational Standard.
