In honour of Animal Protection Day, an «Autumn Acorn Collecting Campaign» took place

On November 8, 2021, teaching staff of EP «Biology» (Associate Professor K.I. Batyrova, senior lecturers D.Amanbekova, E.Kauenbayeva, G.A. Abdikarimova, G.A. Bakhtikova, etc.) of the Institute of Natural History and Geography summed up the event «Autumn action to collect acorns», dedicated to the Animal Protection Day, which was attended by 2nd year students of specialties «6B01513-Biology».

According to the agreement between Abai KazNPU and the Almaty Zoo (15.01.2019) student volunteers collected an average of five kilograms of acorns each, and in total over one ton of acorns were donated to the Almaty Zoo. We would like to thank our students who took part in this event.

The aim of the event is to encourage young people to love nature, care for and protect animals, and to treat our little brothers with respect.
