Open lesson of a master`s student of the Department of Biology on the topic "Connective tissue"
On November 2, 2023, Anarbek Ulzhan, a 2nd-year master`s student of the specialty "7M01513-Biology" of the Institute of Natural Sciences and Geography, held an open lesson on the topic "Connective tissue" as part of pedagogical practice. The lesson was attended by 1st year students of the specialty "6B01513-Biology" and teachers of the department. Anarbek Ulzhan made a report on "Connective tissue" and familiarized students with the basic legal documents of education. Didactic games were also held, in particular, the group game "Open Door", where group work is offered. Together, the students demonstrated the knowledge gained at the lecture and their scientific research. In addition, a new direction in modern education and science is conducted on STEM technologies. Students had to realize their academic and theoretical discoveries in the context of real life, which will develop during group work.
"Bingo Lottery" was a personal quiz, and "Tarsia" was held for brainstorming purposes. It increases activity, passion for the subject, critical thinking and curiosity, helps to reveal "hidden" abilities, self-confidence appears. The student remembers the basic concepts, improves the quality of learning, participates in a dialogue with classmates, supports each other, gets used to working in a group, looks critically at others, has the opportunity to make effective decisions.
At the end of the lesson, the participants received answers to their questions and made suggestions to hold such open classes more often, as they are very useful for the development of both professional and general knowledge.
