“The 5th International Congress on Plant Breeding was held”

 

 

Lecturers of the Department of Biology at the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Geography of Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University, PhD Serik Bakirov (within the “Zhas Galym” project funded by the Science Committee of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, project AP25795907) and Associate Professor Kanat Galymbek (within the university’s integration project according to Order No. 05-04/250 dated April 3, 2025), took part in the 5th International Plant Breeding Congress, held in Antalya, Turkey, from December 1 to 5, 2025.

 

The aim of the congress was to discuss the latest innovations and achievements in various areas of plant breeding and to present modern breeding methods and innovative strategies aimed at reducing the impacts of climate change.

 

Since 2013, the International Plant Breeding Congress (IPBC) has served as a platform for exchanging ideas and discussing new scientific advances for participants from around the world (held previously in 2013, 2015, 2017, and 2022). During the congress, leading scientists from different countries presented their research findings and gave scientific talks.Serik Bakirov and Kanat Galymbek presented poster reports based on their research and were awarded special certificates.
