The event «No oncology» dedicated to World Cancer Day

On February 4, 2019, the Department of Biology of the Institute of Natural Science and Geography organized an event called «No Oncology» dedicated to World Cancer Day. It was attended by the director of the institute Kaymuldinova К.D., the deputy director for educational work Nurlan Manapov, the head of the «Biology» department, Murat Zhaksybaev, teachers and students of the institute. The event was addressed by the teachers of the Department of Biology: Candidate of Medical Sciences, Professor Amantay Kunakbayev, Candidate of Biological Sciences, Associate Professor Galiya Tatarinova, Candidate of Biological Sciences, Senior Lecturer Sholpan Shynybekova and, Candidate of Biological Sciences, Senior Lecturer Gulnara Tashenova.

Currently, cancer is an urgent problem. In their speeches, the speakers urged students to lead a healthy lifestyle, noted the main causes of cancer, methods of prevention, as well as the need for early diagnosis, which is the key to successful treatment. At this event, students also made a great contribution to the discussion of the problem, preparing a sketch, reading poems on this topic.
