Department of Public Relations of the Administrative Department of  Abai is responsible for implementing the University`s external and internal policy in the field of public relations. 

The main tasks of the department are:
- Creation and filling of information flows related to the University activities, within the chosen information and image policy of the University;

- Participation in the creation of a favorable image of Abai KazNPU and  support by disseminating information about the University`s goals and objectives in educational, scientific, innovative, international, educational and social activities among target groups (applicants, students, employees, partners, authorities);
- Realization of constant operative interaction with the press services of state authorities, with the mass media to inform the public about the most important events in the activity of the KazNPU administration;
- Organization of work on providing information about Abai KazNPU in the Internet, mass media with the purpose of expanding the market of educational services and increasing the effectiveness of the University`s interaction with the target audience (applicants, students, employees, partners, city public, authorities).
 
The main functions of the department:

- Participation in the development of the structure of the official website of Abai KazNPU, formation and replenishment of the main content;
 
- Regular updating of the contents of the official university website www.kaznpu.kz;
 
- Monitoring of electronic and print media on issues of education and science (for the rubric "Mass Media about us");
 
- Analysis of the materials of the republican media, review and analysis of information relevant to the activities of the University;
 
- Preparation of an annual and quarterly report on the University activities (with a list of publications in the media about Abai KazNPU ) to the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan and other higher authorities;

 
- Preparation of information materials, analytical references on thematic issues on the instructions of the rector of the University to answer the requests of state bodies, other educational institutions and citizens;
 
- Regular support of sections "Rector`s Blog", "Feedback" of the University official website;

 
- Directing and consideration of appeals of interested persons for execution in accordance with the resolution of the management;
 
- Ensuring timely and full consideration of citizens applications and sending responses to applicants, taking into account the protection of confidential data;
 
- Control over the implementation of the relevant instructions of the rector at the request and request of visitors to the site, etc .;
 
- Planning and organization of information programs on the activity of Abai KazNPU ;
 
- Forming an objective view of the activity of Abai KazNPU with the help of mass media;

 
- Preparation of analytical reviews for the media about holding seminars, conferences, forums;
 
- Distribution in the media of materials on the main directions of development  and achievements of Abai KazNPU;

 
- Implementation of horizontal links with the structural units of Abai KazNPU with the purpose of concentrating internal information about advertising, information and PR-needs, as well as their internal life;
 
- Preparation of photo and video materials of news about the main events of  Abai KazNPU;
 
- Preparation and distribution of press releases in the media.
