Tasks and main functional responsibilities of the legal department
The Legal Department, under the leadership of the First Vice-Rector of the University, is a part of the Administrative Department of the University, is a leading independent structural unit. The structure of the legal department, according to the staff list, consists of the head of the legal department and legal advisers; the department is charged with the task of providing legal services to all the departments of the university.
The main tasks of the legal department: - ensuring compliance with the law of the university; - protection of property and other legal rights and interests of the university in the manner prescribed by law; - propaganda and explanation (interpretation) of legislative acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan; - participation in the preparation of draft internal regulatory documents, including orders, decisions and other documents of a legal nature at all levels.
Functions of the legal department: - represents the interests of the university in courts and other state bodies when considering legal issues; - checks the draft orders, instructions, rules, contracts and other documents of a legal nature submitted for signature to the management for compliance with their legislation and endorses them; - conducts claim work; - participates in the development and implementation of the necessary measures aimed at strengthening labor discipline; - participates in the preparation of documents prepared by the relevant services (financial, economic and other structures) on issues of material liability; - provides legal assistance to employees of the financial and economic department in work on the compensation of material damage caused to the university; - participates in all operational meetings; - organizes the maintenance of a systematic account of the regulatory documents of the university; - provides the rector, vice-rectors and heads of structural divisions with all necessary regulatory documents; - carries out work in the field of application of legislation, the implementation of the event on the issues of legal education of workers and students.
