Literary event at the house-museum of M. Auezov

On September 23, 2022, a literary event «M. Auezov - a man-epoch», dedicated to his 125th anniversary. The great Kazakh writer, scientist, teacher, public figure, a man of encyclopedic knowledge and erudition - this is how he entered the consciousness of his contemporaries and the memory of his descendants.

1st year students of Abai KazNPU and students of the specialized lyceum №165 in Almaty met interesting people at this event and learned a lot about Mukhtar Omarkhanovich Auezov.

The event was attended by: Saule Abisheva - Professor, Head of the Department of Russian Language and Literature of Abai KazNPU, Svetlana Ananyeva - Head of the Department of International Relations and World Literature of M. Auezov Institute of Literature and Arts, Tatyana Baryshnikova - Consul of the Consulate General of Russia in Almaty, Yulia Glushchak - representative of Rossotrudnichestvo; Zhannat Nurshaikhova is the daughter of the famous Kazakh writer, front-line poet, journalist and literary critic Azilkhan Nurshaikhov.

Ninth-graders of the specialized lyceum №165 prepared a literary composition about the life and work of M. Auezov, based on the memories of the writer`s contemporaries.

About the great educational work of the museum and M. Auezov Institute of Literature and Art, about the international essay competition dedicated to the writer, about friendship and ties with the secondary school №143 in Minsk named after M.O. Auezov, said Svetlana Ananyeva.

The daughter of the Kazakh writer Zhannat Nurshaikhova shared her memories, which are carefully kept in her family. She showed the participants photographs in which her father is depicted together with the writer M. Auezov.

The head of the department, Saule Abisheva, sincerely thanked all the participants and noted that such evenings broaden the horizons and enrich emotionally young lovers of literature.
The meeting ended with a tour of the house-museum of M. Auezov.
