Participation in the International Youth Festival in Sochi

From February 28 to March 8, 2024, a teacher of the Department of Russian Language and Literature of Abai KazNPU Umarova Akmaral, as part of Kazakh delegation, took part in the World Youth Festival held on the federal territory of Sirius in Sochi (Russia). To participate, applicants had to go through a competitive selection process in the form of essays and interviews, which resulted in the winners being determined. This event brought together more than 20 thousand young professionals from various fields: business, media, international cooperation, culture, science, education, volunteerism and charity, sports, various spheres of public life, as well as teenagers representing various children`s organizations and associations. Since the purpose of the festival is the mutual enrichment of cultures and traditions of different peoples, every day was filled with various cultural, educational, sports, and entertainment events at numerous venues. The participants got acquainted with the unique nature, the richest classical literature, traditional holidays, music and folklore of the peoples of Russia. Young athletes and prominent artists, scientists and teachers from different countries performed at the outdoor venues. At the end of their stay at this major event, each participant retained a sense of friendship of peoples, mutual understanding and respect of cultures.
