An evening dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of Bulat Okudzhava


Three anniversaries are celebrated in 2024. June 6 - 225 years since the birth of Alexander Sergeevich Pushkin, May 9 - 100 years since the birth of Bulat Shalvovich Okudzhava, October 15 - 210 years since the birth of Mikhail Yuryevich Lermontov.

 

On the eve of the birthday of the poet, writer, founder of the author`s song Bulat Shalvovich Okudzhava, the Department of Russian Language and Literature, Faculty of Philology and Specialized Lyceum No. 165 in Almaty held a literary lounge "Let`s join hands, friends!".

 

The holiday began with a joint performance by students of the 10th grade of Specialized Lyceum No. 165 and undergraduates and students of the Faculty of Philology of Abai KazNPU. Undergraduates in philology prepared a presentation about the poet`s work, and tenth graders of the lyceum, under the guidance of the teacher of Russian language and literature Marina Asylbekova and the class teacher Olga Streltsova, presented a literary composition.

 

Creative dialogue B. Okudzhava with poets of the Golden Age of Russian literature A. Pushkin and M. Lermontov was presented in the performance of the guests of the evening. Elmira Afanasyeva, PhD, Chief Researcher at the Laboratory of Philological Research at the Pushkin State Institute of the Russian Language, told about B. Okudzhava`s Pushkinian. The participants were offered an analysis of B. Okudzhava`s poems "It was impossible to turn back and there was nothing to grieve about ..." and "Lucky Pushkin".

 

The participants of the literary lounge learned about the roll call of two voices in the poem "The Meeting" - B. Okudzhava and M. Lermontov - from the story of Maria Alexandrova, Ph.D., a leading researcher, associate professor of the Nizhny Novgorod State Linguistic University named after N.A. Dobrolyubov.

 

Concluding the literary lounge, the head of the Department of Russian Language and Literature Saule Abisheva thanked all the participants for a sincere and interested conversation about Bulat Okudzhava, read her favorite poem by the poet.
