Neutrality Day: A Symbol of Turkmenistan`s Commitment to Peace, Creation, and Goodwill

On December 12, first-year Turkmen students of the programs Russian Language in Schools with Non-Russian Medium of Instruction (101, 102) and Russian Language and Literature of the Faculty of Philology took part in the celebration of Turkmenistan`s Neutrality Day and Independence Day.

Students of group Russian Language in Schools with Non-Russian Medium of Instruction-102 organized an engaging event, preparing their own script for a patriotic celebration.

This year marks the 30th anniversary of the holiday established by the Resolution of the UN General Assembly on December 12, 1995. The resolution expressed the hope that "the status of permanent neutrality of Turkmenistan will contribute to strengthening peace and security in the region."

During the event, first-year students delivered informative presentations, as well as patriotic poems and songs in Turkmen and Russian. The celebration began with all students standing to perform the National Anthem of Turkmenistan.

The hall was decorated with colorful balloons and flags, and the National Flag of Turkmenistan was placed at the center in a place of honor.

Traditional Turkmen dances performed by female students from group Russian Language in Schools with Non-Russian Medium of Instruction-102 in national costumes, along with a virtuoso performance of Kazakh folk music (kui) on the dombra by a first-year student from the Faculty of Psychology and Pedagogy, left a lasting impression and evoked a deep sense of pride.

The event carried both educational and cultural significance for all students from Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan who attended.
